Friends of Hardie Park
Hardie Park is located in Stanford Le Hope in Essex, and is a community-led family park and open green space. Local residents took ownership with the guidance of Director, Rob Groves in order to develop and enhance the area for the benefit of the local community. Friends of Hardie Park are a registered charity and community interest company and a not-for-profit organisation. Over a period of years, the site has developed enormously and provides a café and play facility 7 days a week.
“It gave myself and Alan a great deal of pleasure in donating the new freezer to Hardie Park. Personally, my family has benefitted from this park and it felt great to give something back for all the hard work the Hardie Park staff put in pleasing others.”
Mark Lappage – Managing Director of Godfrey and Lappage Services Limited
Donation of a New Freezer
Mark Lappage, one of the Managing Directors of Godfrey Lappage heard that his local community park was in need of a new commercial freezer. After speaking to fellow Managing Director Alan, they both agreed to donate a new Foster Commercial Freezer to the Friends of Hardie Park’s café. Rob and his catering team was overwhelmed with the generosity of the Godfrey Lappage team and was more than happy to offer Mark a nice cup of tea while he was installing their new Foster Freezer in their fully functional kitchen.
